In a recent article, M.C. Castro [1] uses a numerical
groundwater model to study the transport of He isotopes
in the Carrizo aquifer, Texas. The main result is that an
unexpectedly large mantle 3
He component is present in
this system, masked by the in situ produced He with a
very low 3
