Course Objective and Content
The course objective is to introduce students to basic finance concepts including financial
markets; accounting statements and cash flows; the time value of money and net present
value; securities valuation; capital budgeting; risk/return analysis; and the basics of
modern portfolio theory and the Capital Asset Pricing Model.
Prerequisites
STAT 151 and BUS 285 (285 may be taken concurrently).
