DATE OF APPOINTMENT August 2011
RANK AND SALARY One-year Temporary Assistant Professor of saxophone. Salary
commensurate with credentials, experience, and reputation.
QUALIFICATIONS Doctorate or professional equivalent in saxophone; advanced
knowledge of woodwind literature; the vision, artistry, energy, and
skills to oversee a nationally recognized studio in saxophone.
RESPONSIBILITIES Artist-teacher of saxophone, responsible for recruitment and
instruction of students from undergraduate through doctoral levels
Coach chamber music and woodwind ensembles
Teach courses in literature and pedagogy
Recruit, advise students
Productive career as a research/creative scholar and performer
Other duties as assigned
