ABSTRACT
A review of a thermodynamic model of polarization-graded ferroelectrics is presented.
Using this formalism, the unusual dielectric and pyroelectric properties of composi-
tionally graded ferroelectric films are analyzed. Results show that the "strength" of
the grading can be chosen as a design parameter to achieve desirable dielectric and
