Ellison Foundation 2010 New
Scholar Award in
Aging
UCSD is allowed to nominate two junior faculty members only. Supports basic
biomedical research on aging relevant to understanding lifespan development
processes and age-related diseases and disabilities. Foundation stimulates
basic biomedical research in multiple disciplines. Specific areas of interest are
listed on the website. Eligibility: Intended for investigators who are in the first
three (3) years of their research career following their post-doctoral fellowship.
For 2010 competition, as of March 1, 2010, nominees must hold regular full
time appointments (tenure or non-tenure) on faculty of the sponsoring
institution; they must not have been in such an appointment, at the sponsoring
