In January 2007, Franz Anton Krager
conducted the Orchestra da Camera at the
Sutton Coldfield Town Hall in Birmingham,
England. The Orchestra is celebrating its 50th
anniversary season this year with this concert
presented by the Sutton Coldfield Philharmonic
Society.
Kelly Love (studio of Karen Wylie) received
second place in the Texas Music Educators
Association essay contest on music education
for the graduate division. The essay titled
"Concepts in Music Education" was written for
Jennifer Mishra's graduate seminar.
On February 9, Mohammad Pasha (student of
Aaminah Durrani) presented his paper titled
"Formal Patterns in Haydn's Alternating
Variations" at the South Central Society for
Music Theory Conference in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana.
