ABSTRACT
We usedtheburrowingcrayfishProcambarusalleni asa modelorganismto
comparespatialandtemporalpatternsof density,standingcrop biomass,andsize-
structuredproductivity in theseasonalwetlandsof theFlorida Evergladeswhere
environmentalstresshasbeenexacerbatedby hydropatterndisturbance.Crayfishdensity
wasnot linked to fluctuationsin watertemperatureor dissolvedoxygenandwasonly
artifactuallyassociatedwith waterdepth.Density andbiomasswithin sitesweresimilar
