Duties and Responsibilities:
The Academic Advising Center is a professional office setting for undergraduate students who seek advising from
Academic Advisers. The Student Worker is responsible for providing high quality customer service to students and
visitors. There is a three-week training plan and continued training until Student Worker is ready to work solo. Work
is directed by Advising Center Coordinator and guided by an Office Assistant.
1. Greets and welcomes visitors and students; escorts students to advisers' offices as requested
2. Identifies students' needs; makes appointments on the scheduling software
3. Checks student records, sets up appointments with advisers, and files documents
4. Calls appropriate departments for referrals and alerts staff of student's status
5. Photocopies and scans materials for advising staff
