The vision of the programme is to enable UK
engineers and physical scientists to be world-
leading in research and training at existing and
emerging cross-disciplinary interfaces. The remit
extends across all research interfaces with the
Engineering and Physical Sciences. The current
analysis represents EPSRC funding in the areas of
the Life Sciences Interface, Complexity and Basic
Technology. This portfolio will change substantially
as new programme activities are developed and
evolve over time.

The Programme acts almost wholly in managed
mode, providing leadership in priority areas.
