We have grown single YAlO3 crystal fibers using the so-called m-pulling down technique for scintillation applications. Good quality
un-doped and Ce-doped crystal fibers with diameters in the range 0.3­2.5 mm and length up to 150 mm have been grown. A first
structural, spectroscopic and scintillation characterization will be presented.
