Abstract. Solar Particle Events (SPEs) of the 23rd Solar Cycle detected
by the ESA Standard Radiation Environment Monitor (SREM) onboard the
INTEGRAL satellite have been studied in order to find their connection to
solar sources. X-ray, optical and radio data of solar flares that were observed by
several space-based instruments during the aforementioned solar cycle have been
