We present a preliminary measurement of the Standard Model CP violation parameter sin 21 at the
KEKB asymmetric e+e- collider using a data sample of 6.2 fb-1
recorded at the (4S) resonance
with the Belle detector. One of the neutral B mesons was fully reconstructed through its decay to a
CP eigenstate; J/KS, (2S)KS, c1KS, J/KL or J/0. The flavor of another B was identified
mainly by the charge of high momentum lepton or Ką. The time interval between two B decays was
determined from the measurement of the distance between the decay vertices. A maximum likelihood
fitting method was used to extract sin 21 from the asymmetry in the time interval distribution. We
obtained a preliminary result of
sin 21 = 0.45+0.43
-0.44(stat)+0.07
-0.09(syst).
