Ph.D Qualifying Examination 2010-Registration Form
The Ph.D Qualifying Examination consists of a written examination in the students' major/concentration
area. This examination is required of all predoctoral students with a Master's degree or equivalent in the
spring semester of the first year if they started the program during fall semester. Students will be tested on
graduate course materials as specified by the faculty in the chosen area. A student who fails the written
examination will be permitted to retake the examination only once.
Please return the registration form to Faith Crisley at f.crisley@neu.edu as a scanned PDF file by
Wednesday February 23, 2010.
The Ph.D Qualifying Examination 2010 will be given in the following areas:
Communications and Signal Processing
Coordinator: Professor Dana Brooks (brooks@ece.neu.edu). The take home problems will be available to
students on Friday, February 26, 2010 from Faith Crisley, Graduate Coordinator, in 405 Dana Hall and is
due back to Faith as a scanned PDF file via email by Monday March 8, 2010 at 5 p.m.
