Internationally renowned referees will evaluate all submitted articles, for both the monographic
and the miscellaneous section.
In the top right corner of first page of each article place full name of the author, institutional
affiliation, address, phone number and e-mail.
The recommended length of an article is between 6,000 and 9,000 words.
Kindly follow these textual guidelines for all submissions:
a) the title, or the subtitle, must give the essential information about the article's content
(chronology, geography, etc.);
b) progressively numbered short-titles in italics should head the article's subsections;
c) please limit the use of quotations in text body;
d) each footnote must contain stricltly necessary references to academic works or to source col-
lections directly concerning the specific point in question, avoiding extensive lists of titles
and citations from writings or archival documents (if unavoidable, please do not exceed the
space of two lines);
e) each article can include at the most 10 illustrations (or more, but not exceeding, in any case,
10 plates).
The journal accepts articles in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. All
the articles will be completed by an abstract in English (max 150 words).
