Policy Statement
This document describes appointment procedures for out-of-scope academic administrative
positions. This policy may also be used as a guide for appointment for other similar
out-of-scope administrative positions.
Vacancies for these positions shall be filled in accordance with this policy with the
understanding that:
a. Qualified internal candidates shall be given an equal opportunity to compete with qualified
external candidates.
b. All searches must be conducted in a timely and professional manner that respects the rights
of candidates to confidentiality, to the extent permitted by law.
