Objectives:
This course is designed to build off the fundamental concepts studied in Business 384, to provide students a more in-
depth understanding of taxation legislation. Emphasis will be placed on interpreting legislation and other relevant
documentation, and communicating the findings. Income tax topics covered will include: section 85 rollovers and
other corporate reorganizations, formation of corporations, integration of personal and corporate taxes, and a
discussion around partnership rules. Goods & Service tax registration, filing, and the tax-status of transactions will
also be discussed.
