MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL CENTER FOR ADVANCED MATERIALS
Call for New Research Theme Proposals
in Organic Electronic and Battery Materials

BACKGROUND:
The Mitsubishi Chemical Center for Advanced Materials (MC-CAM) has been the
vehicle for a research partnership between the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC)
and the materials science community at UCSB since 2001. This partnership specifically
targets the areas of organic and hybrid organic-inorganic materials for high market
value applications such as electronic devices.
MC-CAM is seeking to fund between 1 and 2 innovative "New Research Theme" (NRT)
projects for its 2011-2012 fiscal year beginning September 1, 2011. These projects will
be funded for a term of one year, typically in the range of $75,000-$100,000, including
indirect costs. The scope of research should address priority research areas identified
by the MC-CAM Steering Committee.
ELIGIBILITY:
University of California, Santa Barbara faculty and researchers who are eligible to be
Principal Investigators may seek funding under this program.
