I tagli regolari nel banco di gesso ancora ben visibili
documentano lescavazione di pietra da costruzione in
grandi blocchi, alcuni dei quali, ancora in posto, mostrano i
segni degli strumenti e delle tecniche per lasportazione.
In the Archaic Age (6th
century BC) manufacturing took places in the area.
The still visible regular cuttings in the gypsum-stone layer are clear evidence of ancient quarrying of building stones in large
blocks, some of which have been left in place and show the signs of the instruments used and of the carving procedures.
