Mr. Allen Grundy is a retired military soldier with both Air Force and Army experience
and approximately 10 years in higher education working in various administrative
positions at such institutions as University of Houston; Rutgers, the State University;
and Texas Southern University. Allen has his Masters degree in Higher Education-
Supervision from the University of Houston where he focuses on Education, Leadership,
and Cultural Studies and is certified as a nonprofit manager from the American
Humanics Institute. His specialty is in veterans student affairs in higher education with
regards to retention and strategic planning for development of veteran resource centers,
which has led him to working with such military and higher education organizations as
Department of Veterans Affairs, VetBiz, Texas Veterans Commission, American Council
on Education (ACE), Council of Public University Presidents and Chancellors, and
Student Veterans of America. Mr. Grundy is a frequent presenter at state and national
conferences on issues dealing with grant writing, entrepreneurship, and military affairs
and program development. Grundy initiated and developed a most successful program
at the University of Houston entitled "Entrepreneurship and the 21st Century Veteran"
that partners with the number one entrepreneurship program in the country, the Wolff
Center for Entrepreneurship at Bauer College of Business on the campus of the
