Summary: Musculoskeletal Biomechanics and Bioassistive Devices
The objective of the symposium is to bring scientists together from different fields to discuss
new advances and future directions in musculoskeletal biomechanics and applications to
bioassistive devices. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: theoretical and
experimental analyses, simulation, and control of musculoskeletal motion in humans and
animals and relationships to the development of bioassistive devices that may augment or
replace the mechanical function of the musculoskeletal system.
Papers must be submitted to the symposium through the IDETC 2007 website before February
19, 2007. All papers will be reviewed and accepted manuscripts will be published in the
conference proceedings on CD-ROM. For further information, please contact the organizers of the
