Abstract: Pressure-volume (PV) curve is typically
obtained by inflating the lungs to a nominal
maximum volume (VMax) and then deflating in a
series of volume steps. Another way to perform the
PV curve is by inflating the lungs with a constant
flow to a VMax and then deflating with a constant
flow as well. This study aimed to compare the
differences between these two methods of
performing the PV curve. Experiments were
