Summary: Un nouveau Boophis vert (Ranidae: Rhacophorinae)
des forets pluviales du Sud de Madagascar*

Abstract
A new green Boophis (Ranidae: Rhacophorinae)jrom the
rainforests oj southern Madagascar. Throughout a herpeto-
logical survey a new species of treefrog, Boophis andohahe-
la n.sp., was found in the Andohahelarainforest, S. Madagas-
car. It belongs to the «green Boophis-complex», which
includes the albilabris, luteus and the rappiodes groups. The
body size of B. andohahela ranges from 25 to 30 mm about,
while its colouration is dorsally light green, with one thin yel-
lowish line at each side of the body, going from the snout until
the hind part of the body. Eyes are golden, sometimes with a
brownish area around the pupils. The throat is whitish sha-
ding to bluish, while the belly is yellowish. Such a typical
bright colouration disappears in alcohol, preserved speci-
mens becoming almost totally whitish-creamish. The light
r stripes, too, disappear or shade, while eyes become almost
