Summary: The Central Virginia Writing Project
at
UVA
ANNOUNCES
Our
2012
2-week
summer
writing
institute
Our
Institute
will
be
from
July
9-20,
and
we
invite
all
teachers
from
kindergarten-high
school,
in
all
subject
areas,
who
have
at
least
3
years
of
teaching
experience.
Our
Institute
is
worth
3
graduate
credits,
with
the
tuition
provided
by
CVWP.
Each
day
runs
from
9:00-3:00
in
Zehmer
Hall,
which
has
a
free
parking
lot!
The
Institute
will
have
a
dual
focus
on
the
teaching
of
writing
and
the
teacher
as
writer.
We
conduct
it
in
a
workshop
atmosphere
and
it
serves
as
a
great
professional
energizer.
We
will
have
chosen
all
participants
by
December
16;

you
are

Jane
will
then
arrange
for
herself
or
someone
on
the
CVWP
Leadership
Team
to
visit
you
at
your
school.
At
that
time
we
will
spend
some
time
in
one
of
your
classrooms
while
you
are
teaching
writing,
meet
with
you
to
talk
about
your
students
as
writers,
and
describe
the
application
process,
which
is
simple.
You
will
write
one
letter,
and
you
will
invite
someone
else
to
write
a
letter
about
you.
We
will
explain
the
details
of
the
letters
when
we
meet
with
you.
