Abstract
We present a CPU resource broker model with a new admis-
sion control at a single resource level. The admission control
supports advance reservation as well as immediate reserva-
tion. By separating brokerage part from scheduling part, we
can obtain fast and constant response time of brokerage re-
quests for resource reservation, modi cation, allocation, and
release.
1 Introduction
In recent years, a lot of researches have been done on re-
source reservation schemes. The reservation models are
mostly concentrated on immediate reservation where the
reserved resources are scheduled immediately. However, im-
mediate reservation scheme has a limitation that its ad-
mission decision is made based on the resource availability
