2009
THANK YOU
Thank you for taking the time to meet with us. You have been asked to propose a new
direction for the University of Regina. We've asked to meet with you in order to give you
our conception of the University of Regina's future. Our goal today, as representatives of
the Francophones of Saskatchewan, is to describe the University of Regina campus that
we envision.
WHO WE ARE
The Assemblée Communautaire fransaskoise (ACF) is the governing body of the
Fransaskois community. We represent the French speakers of Saskatchewan, including
Francophones of origin and French speakers in general.
The ACF was founded in 1912 in order to address the issue of French public education.
This provincial organization was founded by the same individuals who founded
Gravelbourg's Collège Mathieu, the first classical college in Saskatchewan, whose
mandate was to ensure the availability of higher education in French in Saskatchewan.
