Searle Scholars
Program
Applicants for year 2008 awards will be expected to be pursuing independent research
careers in biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, immunology, neuroscience,
pharmacology, and related areas in chemistry, medicine, and the biological sciences.
Candidates should have begun their first appointment at the professor level on or after
July 1, 2006 and therefore be in second year. Send electronically: (1) a memo of
nomination from the applicants' department; (2) 3 external references; (3) CV; (4) 1 to 2
page statement summarizing the applicant's proposed research activities. Only ONE
nominee may be submitted by each eligible department.
$80,000/year for
