COURSE DESCRIPTION
Intermediate drawing will explore the potential of drawing in a contemporary context.
Drawing is presented as a visual language with its own vocabulary and visual logic.
Whether objective or subjective, representational or abstract, we will use the drawing
media as a vital tool for finding and making an expressive, poignant statement
through the drawn image. Modern and contemporary models that have challenged
the nature and role of drawing over the past century will inform all our projects.
Students will be introduced to a wide variety of media and their broad range of
expressive possibilities. Participants are expected to be highly motivated and ready to
discover and mature personal images through various stylistic and conceptual
mechanisms.
This course is designed to:
To develop and promote: idea generation, mature levels of invention and problem
