Gingerbread House Making
Wednesday, December 7, 4-7pm (Flexible hours)
Come and make your own gingerbread house any time between 4 and 7pm. The gingerbread
house became popular in Germany after the Brothers Grimm published their fairy tale
collection which included "Hansel and Gretel" in the 19th century. Early German settlers
brought this lebkuchenhaeusle - gingerbread house - tradition to the Americas. Houses are
traditionally formed as a one-room house or a log cabin, and always elaborately decorated
with loads of sweets. All materials and supplies will be provided.
