Award
UCSD may nominate one candidate only. The Rita Allen Foundation
sponsors a program for a few distinguished institutions to nominate
candidates who show promise of becoming leaders in research fields of
analgesics, cancer, immunology and neuroscience. The Foundation is
particularly interested in research on the fundamental questions in
immunology that may provide insights into the mechanisms of autoimmunity.
Eligibility: must have completed training and provided persuasive evidence
of distinguished achievement or extraordinary promise in research in one of
