Williams College The Best of Tanzania

Summary: Williams College
The Best of Tanzania
hosted by Professor Hank Art
January 18 - 30, 2012
Dear Fellow Alumni and Friends,
What is the most extraordinary natural phenomenon on planet Earth? Topping the list, some say, is the great animal
migration in East Africa. And Tanzania is at the center of that migration.
Our tour operator, Thomson Safaris, has had a presence in Tanzania for three decades, leading the way in conservation
and community service. They have their own native-born employees and their own nyumbas and lodges. Consider the
list of special Thomson features in the brochure.
Our Williams academic presence is Professor Hank Art, a biologist and ecologist who has been on six prior African
safaris. Hank analyzes the daily rhythms of animal life -- the dramas involving food and water, nurturing the young,
and evading predators.
You'll be in good company on this all-Williams trip. Please contact Thomson to reserve your place in one of the Land
Rovers.
All good wishes,
Robert Behr
