Report on Eve Riskin's ABET visit to another university
Eve went to another university as an ABET Observer. She went over her "Tips on running a smooth ABET visit" that
she compiled from the visit and with input from a number of ABET evaluators. She emphasized the importance of
the departments getting started scheduling their PEVs. Eve emailed the tips to department chairs, chairs assistants,
advisers, and ACI.
Ed Jones' document "Suggestions for a Good Visit and Self-Study" was distributed.
ABET meeting schedule
A partial schedule for December 3rd
was distributed. The schedule has meetings for the Team Chair and Co-Team
Chair with UW administrators. UW supporting departments are scheduled to meet with the PEVs. The Team Chair
should have the PEV assignments to specific supporting departments by the first week of November. This will help
the departments finalize their PEV's schedule.
