COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course provides an introduction to the issues, strategies and techniques that are essential to the
management of companies operating in a global economy. It takes a managerial perspective, covering
topics such as managing for international competitiveness, managing virtual corporations and strategic
alliances, managing international risk, controlling the international organization, managing for
international innovation, and managing a multinational workforce. This course is an extension to BUS
308, with a practical emphasis on the development of an international business plan.
