Timothy Koozin has published a volume of essays on
the film music of Fumio Hayasaka and Toru Takemit-
su for the Journal of Film Music. He served as editor
of the volume and contributed two articles, "Expres-
sive Meaning and Historical Grounding in the Film
Music of Fumio Hayasaka and Toru Takemitsu" and
"Parody and Ironic Juxtaposition in Toru Takemitsu's
Music for the Film, Rising Sun (1993)." Information

Tomoko Isshiki (DMA, 2001 from the studio of Nan-
cy Weems) has published a translation of interviews
with Asaka Takemitsu, wife of composer Toru Take-
mitsu, titled A Memoir of Toru Takemitsu.
