You gave ... in the famous words of Winston Churchill ... your "blood, toil, tears, and
sweat" -- and today we celebrate your victory!
Years of hard study,
reading, writing,
experiments, recitations,
reports, exams
and all nighters
are now captured on one sheet of parchment.
And you can be proud.
Within moments, you will be official Polytechnic graduates. So on this special day, your
family and friends salute you.
I join with the Board of Trustees, the faculty, the administration, and our four honorary
degree recipients ... to congratulate you.
You are the beneficiary of a NYU-Poly education... as such, you are not mono-thinkers
