Progress with Alumni Surveys (EE, CEE, MSE, and AA)
The departments listed above have not surveyed their alumni recently. They were reminded about the
importance of this for their ABET review. Other departments have surveyed alumni based on ABET's a-
k outcomes. The departments can decide if they want to do a survey before the visit. Reminder sample
surveys from Bioengineering and the Univ. of Michigan College of Engineering have been sent out.
Will the ABET questions that are on the OEA form change?
Eve told Joanna Loss that ACI would like the scale of A to G changed to a numerical scale. Also, fewer
ratings (about 5) would be preferable. Best would be if the scale were the same as the other forms they
fill out. Recent news Eve spoke with Joanna who said they can't change the letters but can reduce them
to have 6, instead of 7. Eve will be sending out the revised form for your input.
College-wide answers to questions about College-level requirements
This is about having consistent answers to questions about College-level curriculum requirements that
faculty and advising staff can give to their ABET program evaluator. College requirements are minimal
