Howard Pollack received two grants for his
current book on the life and work of American
composer and lyricist, Marc Blitzstein: a "We
the People" fellowship from the National Endow-
ment for the Humanities for 2010-11; and a travel
and research grant from the Kurt Weill Foundation.
Clayton Roberts (studio of Robert Bates) is one
of three finalists for the Miami International Organ
Competition at the Church of the Epiphany in Mi-
ami, Florida, on February 26, 2010. He also won
Second Prize in the graduate division of the Albert
Schweitzer National Organ Playing Competition in
Wethersfield, Connecticut, on September 13, 2009.
