Key Facts
Swansea University's Science and Innovation Campus will be the catalyst for what is
likely to be the largest knowledge economy project in the UK. Allied to a renovated
Singleton Park Campus, this will provide an intensive, open-innovation environment
which will facilitate the growth of high-tech clusters - specifically Engineering, ICT and
Medicine - in Swansea and the South West Wales region.

The development of the Science and
Innovation Campus is expected to
contribute more than 3bn to the
regional economy over 10 years and
create approximately 11,000 jobs within
South West Wales. These figures are
based on the construction of the
Campus, increasing research impacts
resulting from growing capacity,
industry collaborations, spin-ins and
spin-outs and the development of high-
tech clusters in the region.
