· research and review social media practices at Queen's and
beyond. At the time the activity was increasing daily.
­ 10 Queen's Facebook sites (Agnes, Bookstore,
Career Services, etc.)
­ 8 unofficial Facebook sites related to Queen's
(Don't Cancel Homecoming, Bring Back Queen's
Homecoming, etc)
­ numerous YouTube and Flickr activity ­ student postings
­ 8 Blogs (Admissions, Human Media Lab, ITS. etc.)
· provide recommendations for usage for Queen's
Develop Social Media Guidelines for Queen's
­ Approved by Diane Kelly (May 25th) and Communications
Task Force (May 27th)
­ Link to guidelines is posted on the web site under
www.queensu.ca/identity
Establish a presence for Queen's in various forms of
social media ­"official Queen's University sites"
­ Social media sites are to capture audience and drive traffic
