ABSTRACT
We present the Cyberguide project, in which we are
building prototypes of a mobile context­aware tour guide
that provide information to a tourist based on knowl­
edge of position and orientation. We describe features
of existing Cyberguide prototypes and discuss research
issues that have emerged in our context­aware applica­
tions development in a mobile environment.
