Summary: APPENDIX A: Annual Performance Review Process
In the winter semester, each out-of-scope Academic Administrator participates in a
performance evaluation which covers activities during the previous 12 month period January
1st
to December 31st
. The evaluation is carried out by the supervisor. As part of the process,
the Academic Administrator, with input from the supervisor, establishes goals and directions
for the next twelve months. These inform the evaluation in the following year. Normally,
performance reviews will be completed by March 31st
.
Academic administrative appointments normally terminate on June 30th
and it is therefore
necessary to provide for a transition to the faculty review process.
In the winter of the final year of the administrative appointment, the evaluation will be as
usual, with the Academic Administrator indicating activities to be undertaken in the next six
months and while on administrative leave. There will be no formal evaluation in the year of
leave although any CGI for which the past Academic Administrator is eligible will be awarded.
In the next year (18 months after completion of the administrative appointment) the
Academic Administrator will be reviewed in accord with the faculty review process (see the
University of Regina/URFA Collective Agreement) and under established faculty criteria
