Summary: G. Joseph Reddington
Most of Joseph Reddinton's business experience
has been in retailing management. He 28 years with
Sears, managing all of U.S. operations from 1986 to
1988, serving as the chief administration officer in
1989, and serving as president and chief executive
officer of Sears Canada from 1989 to 1994.
During 1994 -97, he was chairman and CEO of the
Signature Group, a privately held direct marketing
company owned by G.E. Capital Corp. and
Montgomery Ward. From 1997 to 2004, he served
as chairman and CEO of Breuners Home Furnishings Corporation, a privately
held business with the Apollo Group as the major stockholder.
He currently serves as the director of Loblaw Ltd., a $22 billion Canadian retailer
and one of the premier retailers in the world. He joined the board in 1994, has
served on the Executive Committee, and recently chaired the Governance and
Reddington was director of TWA from 1993 to 2002 and chaired its Finance and
Corporate Governance Committees. The board dissolved with the American
Airlines merger in 2002.
