COURSE OVERVIEW
This course covers: accounting for long-term investments, business combinations, parent-
subsidiary relationships, foreign currency transactions, translation and consolidation relating to
foreign operations, and accounting for not-for-profit organizations. The course also integrates
material from prerequisite courses.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To acquire a thorough knowledge of financial reporting for associates (significant influence
investments) and for parent-subsidiary relationships, including situation where subsidiaries
