Terrence J. Mulligan
Terry Mulligan is vice chairman of MedAssets. MedAssets improves healthcare
providers' margin and cash flow through revenue cycle and supply chain
initiatives as well as decision support technology and services.
Mulligan received his B.S. degree from The University of Iowa in 1968. He
served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army in West Germany from 1968 to 1970
and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service in
Europe.
Mulligan joined American Hospital Supply Corporation in 1970 and held
numerous positions until 1978, when he became vice president of sales and
marketing for American's largest division. In 1984, he was promoted to corporate
vice president and an officer of American Hospital Supply. After American's
merger with Baxter International in 1985, he was named a corporate vice
president, in 1991, a senior vice president, and in 1996, a group vice president.
Mulligan served on Baxter's Operating and Senior Management Committee. He
is a member of the Board of Directors of Wellmark, Inc., headquartered in Des
Moines. In addition, he has served as a member of the University of Iowa Alumni
Board and was the chairman of the board in 1994 and 1995. He is also a
