in class 7 days (10/12/07) from today (10/05/07). Grades will be administered as follows: 5
(exceptional effort), 4 (complete), 3 (incomplete or inadequate effort), 2 (poor effort), 0
(nonexistent). No late problem sets will be accepted.
1. Problem: Provide clear 3D depictions of the transition states for the following hydroborations.
Specifically point out each factor responsible for the observed turnover in selectivity (Tatsuda,
K. et al. Tetrahedron Lett., 1991, 6015-6018.).
