Summary: The intern, Li Ke, is a final year PhD student
within the School of Electronics and
Computer Science and was encouraged by
his supervisor Dr Peter Wilson to apply for
this scheme.
Working within the Electronic Systems and
Device Group, his understanding of the
fundamental principles of semiconductor
design made him the perfect fit for
Cascoda's requirement, to enable
microchips to operate from a single alkaline
battery.
The six month project challenged Li to work
on the design from conception to completion
of a voltage converter.
Li Ke said, `Working for Cascoda I have
