Your assignment is to examine the influence of the various forms of friction factor (Cole-
brook, Colebrook and White, Shacham and Woods) on the exit velocity for a draining tank
as described in the lab. Relevant data are: Fluid is water at 60
F, drain tube is nominal
schedule 40 half inch with = 0.00015. Tank diameter is 3 ft. Consider 1/12 < H < 6 and
1/12 < L < 10 in feet.
You should invoke the various friction factor constitutive relations below and fill out the
table below as indicated.
