General:
In order to participate in FIFE, individual tenured and tenure-track faculty members in Franklin
College must identify their respective counterpart at an international institution of higher
learning.
Preference will be given to international faculty from institutions with which UGA has an
existing partnership, typically in the form of a Study Abroad Program, an Exchange Program, or
an International Cooperative Agreement. See the following web addresses for further

Both the Franklin College faculty member and the international faculty member must be
teaching at least one class during the semester of the exchange.
The international faculty member will be invited to UGA for one business week + weekends
during the academic year. During that week s/he will be expected to do the following:
Team-teach a class/lab (or classes/labs) with the UGA host faculty member.
Give a lecture (department, college, or public) on his or her research.
