09 ANNUAL REPORT
It has been an honour to have served as the
19th principal of Queen's University. It has
been a time of challenge and achievement,
of necessary change and inspired evolution.
There have been several noteworthy
cases of collaboration and accomplishments.
For example, Queen's task forces consisting
of volunteer staff and faculty members have
come up with novel ideas to help us survive
the economic downturn. The Principal's
Innovation Fund has drawn dozens of ideas
from the Queen's community on how to
achieve cost savings and generate revenue.
The implementation of these ideas will help
Queen's in trying times.
We held our first Spring Reunion to
coincide with Queen's MiniU. This event
showcases Queen's teachers and researchers
