English Language Studies Associate
(1 Year Fulltime Term)
The English Language Studies program is currently seeking an English Language Associate to join its
dynamic team. The English Language Studies program offers both Pre-English for Academic Purpose
(PEAP) and English for Academic Purpose (EAP) courses to international students who are seeking to
fulfill the English Proficiency requirements to enter into UNBC Undergraduate programs.
Duties:
The English Language Studies Associate's duties include, but are not limited to:
Instruction and course planning based on the UNBC English Language Studies curriculum
Preparing and marking of assignments that promote betterment of language skills
Conduct needs assessment with students
Evaluation of student's language proficiency development
Assist in future curriculum and program development
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of an Undergraduate degree in a relevant field with a
certificate in TESOL or CELTA from a recognized institution, together with a minimum of three years
relevant experience teaching in a post secondary institutional setting. An equivalent combination of
education and experience will be considered. Candidates must have proven experience in English as a
