Description of Education
The Social Studies Program offers both bachelor's- and master's-level options leading to initial teaching certification in social studies
education in grades 7-12 in the state of Georgia. Preservice teachers in these programs develop the dispositions, knowledge, and skills
to help students develop the ability to make informed and reasoned decisions for the public good as citizens of a culturally diverse,
democratic society in an interdependent world.
Teacher preparation is offered in the following areas
Business Education
Early Childhood
English Education
Foreign Language Education
Marketing Education
Math Education
Middle School
Pre-Kindergarten-2nd Grade
Science Education
